Films like this I pick apart. I can’t help it, I love to pick out all the flaws. However, having said that, I still enjoyed it. It was entertaining and it’s a film that doesn’t take too long to get into the action. It also has a short running time which is a bonus because the events aren’t dragged on for too long either.
I can see The Strangers growing into a franchise. I can’t see it being very good but horror films in Hollywood are forever being expanded on. This film is the second instalment, the predecessor being The Strangers. I can see another one coming out in the near future. As long as it’s new characters and new stories, I don’t think I’ll mind too much.
It’s a film that you have to not take too seriously and just enjoy the drama unfold in front of you. Some of the actions from the main characters will frustrate you, which is why you can’t take it too seriously. It’s enjoyable and entertaining and sometimes a little bit tense. You might find yourself, at times, on the edge of your seat. It’s something I’d watch again.
