The Kissing Booth (2018)

Plot: After agreeing to host a kissing booth at a spring carnival, Elle comes face to face with her longtime crush.

Director: Vince Marcello

Starring: Joey King, Molly Ringwald, Joel Courtney, D. David Morin.

It’s one of those cheesy films that can easily become your guilty pleasure. Sadly, it won’t be my guilty pleasure but I still enjoyed it. I cringed a lot. Some of the dialogue and acting made me feel a little uncomfortable but it’s a film you can laugh at which isn’t a bad thing. Everyone needs a bit of cheese in their life so if you’re looking for a girly night in, this is the film for you. However, it isn’t very mature. It’s aimed at young teenagers, not young adults.

If you’re looking for something to watch on Netflix, I’d say skip this movie. It’s quite missable. I don’t regret watching it, it was entertaining but it didn’t wow me. There are better things to watch on the streaming site.
