A lot of development happens with the characters in this season. Towards the second half, they all become incredible distant and have a massive falling out. That was difficult to watch as Oliver and Diggle have been friends since season one episode one. Seeing them punch each other was hard.
One of the most shocking moments of the season was the Tommy Merlyn entrance in the courtroom. My mouth fell to the floor and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was so thrilled to see this character again but also I was full of questions. However, my questions disappeared quickly when it was revealed that it wasn’t actually Merlyn, just another man wearing his face to look like him. This saddened me.
The finale saw the death of Quentin. I saw this coming because it was revealed that the actor who plays him was leaving the show. However, we don’t actually see him die so I reckon we’ll see him again one day. I don’t believe any deaths in this show, even if there’s a dead body, the show has a habit of bringing people back to life.
This show is kind of losing my interest now. Don’t get me wrong the finale was great and the cliffhanger emotional but the seasons are too long for what’s included in the episodes. The drama and storylines are dragged out way too much that I lose interest and just want these stories wrapping up. I will give the next season a chance but I think I’ll slowly fade this show out, unfortunately. Unless the new season completely knocks my socks off that is.
