Plot: Documentary following Demi Lovato as she explains the tough times she’s experienced.
Director: Hannah Lux Davis
Starring: Demi Lovato
I don’t know why I decided to watch this documentary but I did and I’m so glad I did. I was 11 years old when Camp Rock was released and I loved it. I must have watched it a hundred times. Anyway, I’m not a dedicated fan of Demi Lovato’s, I like some of her songs and I’ve only seen two of her films. I watched this documentary because I’d seen news articles about the things she’s been through and I wanted to see and hear her side of it.
The documentary offers a massive insight into her life over the past few years including drug use, being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, having an eating disorder and a breakup. She lays it all on the table in one of the most truthful and heartbreaking documentaries I’ve ever seen.
A lot of people have grown up watching her on the Disney channel and touring with the Jonas Brothers but nobody knew what was going on behind closed doors. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to her and I think people should watch this documentary as it is important. You don’t have to be a fan of hers to watch this documentary. I’ve linked the documentary below so you can watch it here:
Demi Lovato is a beautiful soul and I admire everything she has achieved.
