Fifty Shades Freed (2018)

I don’t think I’ve ever hated characters more yet I still chose to watch the final instalment of the Fifty Shades Trilogy. Christan is just a control freak and the most unlikeable guy I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching on a TV screen. While Anastasia is the most annoying fragile female I’ve ever had to watch on the big screen. She doesn’t have a backbone and lets him manipulate her multiple times. Honestly, where’s the femininity in these films? It’s diabolical. Their relationship is so messed up, she’s not allowed to have a mind of her own. It’s unhealthy and they just frustrate me so much.

This third instalment may have been the worst yet. However, they’ve all been dreadful. Nothing really happened until the end and even the climax of events at the end was pathetic and lasted about five minutes. It was just another boring film. Does anyone actually like these films? I only watched it because after watching the first one to see what it was all about, I thought the second one would be better but then it wasn’t and because I’d seen the first two I felt I had to watch the final one.

10 years from now I bet we’ll be getting remakes and I’m dreading that day. These films need to stay dead. Nothing good came out of them. I used to be a massive fan of Jamie Dornan but these films have put me off him. In fact, I don’t like Johnson now either. They’ve just really irritated me. I’m sorry for posting such a ranty blog but it had to be done.

I have the books but I didn’t read them and I have not watched the movies, but I did see a Facebook meme that summed it all up: If all that had been happening in a trailer park the guy would have been hauled off to jail after the first indiscretion.
