Plot: The haunting true story of Jeffrey Dahmer, a notorious serial killer, in his adolescence.
Director: Marc Meyers
Starring: Ross Lynch, Alex Wolff, Anne Heche, Vincent Kartheiser
Even if you don’t know about the serial killer, I still think the film is worth the watch. It’s sinister and quite chilling. It’s a very different film because it focuses on a true story of a real-life serial killer and if that doesn’t give you the chills then I don’t know what will.
You can tell from the onset that he’s a very disturbed human being if you can call him human. It’s an extremely fascinating tale and feels very much like a real horror story. Horror stories are often told through jump scares and horrific scenes that includes blood and violence. The reason I believe this film is a horror story without portraying the usual conventions of a typical horror film is because it’s the story of a real-life horror story. What Dahmer did in real life was horror.
It’s an intriguing story and you might be too scared to watch it in case you relate to a serial killer or maybe even empathise with him but that’s not what you will feel. It’s a painfully truthful story that will give you the creeps. Very haunting.
One to watch!
