I love the Amityville films. The one with Ryan Reynolds in 2005, is such a good horror. However, all the other Amityville films haven’t been anywhere near as good so when this one was coming out I was excited. I think this film comes the closest to being as good as the 2005 film but it’s still not as good.
It’s a good film, starts off a bit slow but once it gets into it, it’s really enjoyable and entertaining. As much as I can’t stand Bella Thorne, she’s bearable in this film. The mother really annoyed me but I like the actress. She’s in Atypical and I love that show.
It’s got many flaws but horror films always have flaws. You can never take them too seriously. Especially if you’re like me and you don’t believe in anything supernatural. It’ll be interesting to see if they bring out another Amityville film, after all, Hollywood never let anything lie.
