Bright (2017)

Plot: Humans, orcs, elves and fairies co-exist. A human police officer and an orc work together. One night they set out on a routine patrol where they find themselves protecting an elf and a relic that if in the wrong hands could destroy everything.

Director: David Ayer

Starring: Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry.

I had so many high expectations of this film. I was really excited about it for weeks but it just let me down big time. I thought it was awful. I couldn’t get into the story at all and the characters weren’t all that great, especially character development. It was all just terrible. I didn’t really get it I don’t think, which made it worse. I understood the film and everything but it was also such a bizarre concept that I didn’t get it. It felt very random and pointless.

I have to agree. It had a lot of chances to have potential but it missed them all. I am quite surprised that Will Smith would have agreed to be in this movie after reading the script. I’ll just watch Will in I, Robot again. Now that was a great movie.
