Ingrid Goes West (2017)

Plot: After several setbacks and the death of her mother, Ingrid travels West to try and befriend her Instagram obsession. However, things eventually get worse for Ingrid and she’s on the verge of giving up completely.

Director: Matt Spicer

Starring: Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Wyatt Russell, Billy Magnussen.

It’s a very unusual concept and film. It’s entertaining and enjoyable but very weird. The main character is played by Aubrey Plaza and she played the role really well. It’s real. The concept just feels real and that’s what makes it a great watch. There are loads of moments in this film where you will be able to relate to the story and character.

It’s the perfect depiction of social media and the problems surrounding it. It’s a very current film that faces the issues of pop culture head-on. I really liked it and think that it is the perfect time to release a film like this. It’s a very relevant film and I think everyone should take the time to watch it.

Hilarious and sad!
