I have never seen Dave Bautista in anything other than Guardians of the Galaxy so it was strange for me seeing him in this because obviously, you don’t really see his face in GOTG. In this film, you actually see what he looks like.
There is a lot of action in this film, the whole duration of the running time is filled with action. You’re thrown into it as soon as the film opens on its first frame. There’s a lot of violence and blood. It’s a thrilling ride but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. It just lacked narrative for me. Even though there was a lot of action, there wasn’t really anything more to it and I just found it a little boring.
It feels very pivotal in our time though because the world is in chaos. All these issues with politics etc, I feel like the scenes depicted in this film is only a matter of time before it will happen all over the world. If you like Red Dawn then I’d say you’d probably like this film.
A missable action movie!
