Rough Night (2017)

Plot: Jess’s bachelorette party takes a wild turn for the worse when they accidentally kill a male stripper. With their lives and their jobs on the line, they must decide whether to turn themselves in or cover up the crime.

Director: Lucia Aniello

Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Zoë Kravitz, Jillian Bell, IIana Glazer, Paul W. Downs, Demi Moore, Colton Haynes, Ty Burrell.

It’s a comedy and it makes you laugh throughout and that’s all that matters. You’ve got to look past the silliness and absurdity and just enjoy the film for what it is, which is hilarious. It’s like The Hangover movies but with women. It’s funny because everything you’d expect not to happen happens. It’s a predictabe film but you can’t help but love it and laugh out loud.

A man knocks on the door and they answer it, thinking it’s the male stripper they hired. One of the girls jumps on him, knocking him backwards where he hits his head on the corner of the fire place. Ouch! He then dies. Any normal person in this situation would call the police but they’re all high as a kite and over think the whole situation. They tamper with evidence, move the body. They make a massive mess of the situation.

However, later on in the film, the real stripper turns up. The guy they killed is a bank robber. It’s just one big night of bad luck for these girls. It’s an easy going film and if you’re looking for a laugh, then definitely watch it because it is highly entertaining, even if it does seem a bit stupid and far fetched. I really enjoyed it.

A laugh out loud female comedy!

I laughed alot during this one. For some reason, I interpreted the theme as “If Hillary would just do cocaine and kill a male stripper with her friends, she would be more relatable”. Maybe it was the haircut and automaton politician commercial in the beginning. 😀
