Plot: When a teenager wakes up from a coma after being shot in the head he realises not everything is as it seems. His broken smartphone has left pieces of fragments inside his brain allowing him to see things as a computerised app. He now has super human powers.
Director: Adam Randall
Starring: Bill Milner, Maisie Williams, Rory Kinnear and Miranda Richardson.
The premise is fantastic and exciting but unfortunately, it wasn’t executed well. It had so much potential but it was just a bit boring in places. The last 10 minutes of the film was the best part. The pace of the film was just all over the place.
Maisie Williams is too good for this role and didn’t do her justice. Too many clichés in this film. The film portrays the nitty gritty side of London perfectly but that’s all it does. I think it was a good film to make because superhero films are very dominant in Hollywood these days, mainly MCU and DC films so a superhero film that isn’t from those companies sounds refreshing. However, it wasn’t refreshing. I think I’ll stick to the MCU films.
I think if you’re a teenager and you like crime films then this is definitely worth the watch for you as it has violence in it and it’s complete with a teenage cast.
