A film that is surprisingly great. Very entertaining and a good laugh. It’s not something new but it’s a film that you can’t love because the characters are so loveable. There was a certain energy about the characters and you feel it as an audience member. It’s kind of uplifting. The storyline gets a little dark in places but the humour of the characters keeps the same feel throughout the film. Even when the storyline gets a little heavier, it still doesn’t feel as heavy as it should have done which was a good thing. It’s a film that makes you happy, not sad.
You can tell that Skarsgård and Peña have chemistry because their relationship in this film was utterly adorable. They cared for each other so much and it seemed like they had no amount of dislike for each other at all and that’s always important when it comes to pairings in films. They made their relationship believable and enviable. It’s a very fun film and I’d recommend it to anyone.
