Year: 1977

Director: Dario Argento

Starring: Dario Argento, Jessica Harper, Stefania Casini, Joan Bennett and Flavio Bucci.

A very stylish film that is pleasing to the eye but lacks story. It is consistent when it comes to creating an unsettled and disoriented feel throughout the film as it starts off with torrential rain and the main character being thrust into it. It then continues it’s disorder with the occasional deaths and creates a very suspicious atmosphere.

There are some vibrant colours in the film which make it feel like you’re watching a neo-noir type film but this doesn’t fit into that genre. There’s also gore. Lot’s and lot’s of it so if you’re a horror fan then I think this film is a must-see.

For me, I just couldn’t get into the story but it had a few thrills along the way that are quite exciting. If you like the storyline then this film is something you will absolutely love.

Rating: 5/10.
