This film has two names but in the UK we call it Say When. This is quite a humbling film. As an audience, you are witnesses to these characters lives and you watch it unfold. Not much happens but it’s entertaining enough to sit all the way through. It’s not really a film that will make you think about life but you could probably relate to it. It won’t leave you feeling any different after watching it, I don’t think. It won’t really impact anyone, it’s just purely there for entertainment.
It has a sense of not wanting to grow up because this character who is about to settle down, it seems like her whole life is ahead of her but then she meets this teenager and she see’s life from another perspective. It’s a balance between adolescence and adulthood. It’s like the character is stuck in limbo. I feel like everyone is entitled to have one of these life crises though. It’s quite an interesting story.
