Plot: Hancock is a superhero who works at saving people but also leaving a hell of a lot of collateral damage. However, he meets a beautiful family and things start to change for him.

Year: 2008

Director: Peter Berg

Starring: Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman and Jae Head.

I just love this film, it’s a superhero but it doesn’t feel like a superhero film. It’s more like an underdog because the character leaves more destruction than he does at saving people. That’s what makes him more lovable because he’s just a mess. He’s a guy with these powers and he doesn’t really know what to do with them, there’s no handbook, he’s just trying his best to deal with the hand he got dealt. He just really doesn’t care either, which makes it a lot more entertaining. This film is just a fantastic action/comedy.

Will Smith is great as usual. I think it’s a film that you hear about and think I can’t imagine it being any good because it’s so random but it works so well. I think it’s my favourite Will Smith role, it’s just so entertaining from start to finish.

Rating: 6/10.

Tomorrow I will be reviewing Edward Scissorhands 🙂

Other than a shaky start, I did enjoy this. Good play on the levels of drama, romance, humor, and action. However, the resolution and where the characters stood at the end of the movie seemed unrealistic, even for a movie.
