Director: Dexter Fletcher

Starring: Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton, Christopher Walken, Jo Hartley and Tim Mclnnerny.

This is such a feel good movie. Taron Egerton is great as Eddie, I think he pulls him off perfectly. The mannerisms and the looks, he just looked perfect. You can’t help but love this film, there’s nothing to dislike about it. It’s just amusing enough to give you a little chuckle but not so much it turns the film into a comedy. It’s such a great entertaining film. You meet the character and you fall in love with his passion and his drive straight away.

The film is inspired by the true events and I think it’s a very inspirational story. It proves that we’re all capable of something if we try our hardest and never give up. I feel like the true message behind this film is to show people that if you never give up you’ll get to where you’re supposed to be and I hope that’s true.

I definitely would recommend this film. Even if you know nothing about Eddie the Eagle or even have an interest in him. I didn’t really know who he was until this film came out. I knew his name and what he did and that was it and I still really enjoyed the film.

It takes you through the journey of Eddie the Eagle and shows you how many times he is rejected but still makes it in the end. I think the character development in the film not just with Eddie but his coach (Hugh Jackman) as well is done really well. We see a little into the coach’s time as a ski jumper and it’s nice to have that backstory as well as the front story.

Rating: I give this film a 7/10 for how heartwarming and good it makes you feel.

Tomorrow my review will be on… Inception 🙂
