Kick-Ass 2

Dave (Aaron Taylor Johnson) and Mindy (Chloe Moretz) are trying to lead normal lives as teenagers but are struggling to keep away from their masks. They briefly work together until Mindy/Hit Girl is caught and forced to give up being Hit Girl leaving Dave to go off on his own. He joins forces with other superheros such as Stars and Stripes (Jim Carey).

I actually really like this one and I am more likely to watch this one than the first one. Not because it’s better but because the characters are developed and are older and I find them more enjoyable to watch. I do think the first one was better for the action and violence but I don’t think I could pick between the two. I love them both. kickass2

It still has the laughs and many action sequels and unfortunately Dave still has that horrible curly hair. It’s nice to have a strong female lead in films like this because which superhero films have strong female leads. There’s Scarlett Johanson’s Black Widow but she hasn’t had her own film yet, it’s still all about the other main superheros. There haven’t been many and I think it’s nice because it makes the film different. Mindy is teaching Dave how to fight and be a hero whereas usually it’s the other way round.

(L to R) Hit Girl (CHLOË GRACE MORETZ) and Kick-Ass (AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON) face off against The Mother F%&*^r (CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE) in the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: ”Kick-Ass 2”.

If you liked the first one then I would say definitely watch this one. I personally think it did the first one justice.
