The Family

The film is about a Mafia family who are in witness protection and who are wanting to change their lives. Starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Diana Agron and John D’Leo.

I’d wanted to see this film for a long time, it looked interesting and it took me a while to actually get round to watching it and when I finally did I did enjoy it but I thought it was weird. I didn’t really get it. It was a good film, it had a lot of potential but for me it just didn’t do it for me. I compare it to the film The Guest because they’re both on the same level of weird.

I would recommend watching it because it’s something different and everyone has different taste’s but for me it’s not something I wouldn’t watch again. The ending is really good, full of drama and very entertaining. I was really looking forward to seeing this film but in the end it was a miss.

As much as I adore Michelle Pfeiffer I’ve held off from watching “The Family” and after reading your post I’m glad I have.
It saddens me more than a little to see the decline of De Niro and Pfeiffer’s fortunes over recent years. I’ve grown up watching Michelle and even though we’ve both got older, she remains transcendent. Somehow her recent roles feel like someone’s put a lampshade on the brightest light in the room.
