Well I wasn’t expecting to like this film as much as I did. I only watched it because I felt I had to with it being so popular. I’m a huge fan of Jamie Dornan anyway so I wanted to see what he was like in a film even though I prefer him with more facial hair. Dakota Johnson, I’ve seen quite a few of her films but she’s never stood out to me yet. She was always someone I’d forget but I don’t think I will forget her name now.
The film to me was just a romance will, just with raunchy scenes which weren’t actually too bad and not that explicit. I did feel quite sorry for both characters at the end of the film and I liked the way it ended. I’m quite looking forward to watching the next one but I won’t be in line at the cinema to watch it. I’ll stick to watching it in the privacy of my own home.
I’m not a fan of the director Sam Taylor-Johnson so I’m quite pleased she’s not returning to direct the sequel Fifty Shades Darker, which is set for a 2016 release. Not many people were a fan of Jamie Dornan playing Christian Grey but I really liked him but I haven’t read the books so I don’t know what he was like in the book. I’m glad he and Dakota Johnson are returning for the sequels.
